My name is "TITBIT"

Here is a good example of the importance and difficulty to define a brandname.

The Russian company Alpintex, specialised in petfood, had certainly in mind the marketing basics when defining the name of its products line for dogs, TITBIT: short name, easy to pronounce and remember... And with an English name, products TITBIT will be easier to export ... except maybe into France ...
Add to that the choice of the dog on the packaging...we will not avoid the flop....

French group Senoble entered the Russian market with yogurts and desserts under the brands "Bio Plus" and "Dessert Plus". Those products will compete with Danone products, already on the markets for years, and as well with all other "private labels" (MDD) products. Bio plus yogurts and Dessert Plus products are already available in supermarkets Perekrestok (X5 Retail Group). X5 Group reinforces again its position on the Russian retail market. Well done!

Decathlon in Moscow: when internal language kills communication...

In November Decathlon launched an advertising campaign about some of its "blue products" for winter...Here an example of Decathlon "blue product" : a red fleecejacket...Well done!!!
Moreover, when Decathlon in Russia is not that much well known as a brand of sportsgoods, shall Decathlon really communicate on "blue products" (that means nothing for people here) or better on its brand Decathlon?
